Providing tennis in schools is SATA's primary channel for mentoring local youth and exposing them to the fun of tennis.  Hosting tennis modules in PE classes and facilitating on-going After School QuickStart Tennis programs  has helped SATA reach over 3000 Danville students (age 5-14) in 2018 with approximately 300 students participating on a weekly basis.

"Tennis is the highlight of Henry's week.  He looks forward to playing with his friends, and it has been so gratifying to watch how his skills have improved over the last year.  I know this is something Henry will continue to do for many years to come!"

Building on the skills introduced in the schools, SATA provides weekly youth programming for students to hone their skills and further their development.  Through weekly clinics, summer camps, competitive tournaments, community service projects, and exposure to healthy living principles, SATA strives to reach kids where they are, through fun programming and a positive environment.

"My son Alex is 13 and has been playing tennis with Rusty the last two and half years. Rusty has taught him lots of tennis but much more about becoming a responsible adult. He has helped mentor him, build his confidence, teach him to give back to his community, and teach him there is a plan for his life. Knowing Rusty has made a huge difference in his life."

Tennis is not just for kids.  SATA offers numerous tennis outreach opportunities for adults of all ages and abilities.  From beginner to advanced, SATA currently works with adults to provide free and low-cost tennis programming at various facilities throughout the area.  Whether its weekly clinics, fun socials, or competitive tournaments, SATA works hard to provide quality experiences for all members of our community.
